Snow is recommended for indoor use only as it can discolour outdoors.
The time it takes to fully charge a typical EV battery from 0% to 100%. Specific charging time depends on your vehicle’s onboard battery size.
Maximum km of driving range added per hour, based on an efficient vehicle.
Longer cables give more flexibility in where you install the charger, or where you park your car. They also ensure the cable will reach the socket no matter where it is on the vehicle.
Evnex chargers work with all EVs on Australian and New Zealand roads that use a Type 2 charging port - the standard for new vehicles. If you're unsure or have an imported vehicle, contact our customer service team
Charges at full speed using energy from the grid.
Schedule your charging to use only your excess solar power without drawing from the grid, giving you free kilometres from sunshine.
Continuously monitors your home’s energy use and reduces charging speed to prevent using more than your capacity. No tripped circuits, no annoying callouts, and no need to worry about safety.
Set charging to occur when energy prices are low, or tell it when to make use of excess solar. Behaviour can be the same every day, or vary across the week.
Backed by a four-year residential and three-year commercial warranty - longer than most, because Evnex stands behind its engineering and locally built quality.

EV charger installation made easy - from online quote to charging setup
Get a transparent quote
Share a few details about your home and EV to receive an obligation-free upfront quote for your charger, installation, and set up — most homes can get a quote without need for a site visit.
Arrange your install
We’ll arrange your install with an Evnex partner electrician. Or you can buy the charger on its own and use your own electrician — we’ll guide them through setup.
Safe, professional setup
Your charger is installed and connected by a licensed electrician. Most installations are completed in three hours and come with a 4-year product and installation warranty.
Start charging in minutes
Your installer will walk you through how to use your charger before leaving. You’ll be ready to charge safer, faster, and smarter — all backed by Evnex’s local support team.
What our customers say
The E2 Flex offers simple smarts that make a big difference

Protect your home power
If you turn on the oven, air con, and start charging your car, your home power might overload and shut off.
Evnex chargers automatically adjust their speed so you never trip a circuit or lose power - ensuring your home is always safe.

Fast, reliable charging for everyday use
Plug in and get going faster. The E2 Flex charges four times faster than a standard wall plug — adding up to 50km of driving range every hour.
And with a 4-year warranty, it’s power you can trust to keep your EV moving.

Upgrade to solar when you’re ready
No solar? No problem. The E2 Flex is ready to charge straight from the grid.
If you get solar later, you can unlock solar smarts with a simple software upgrade. Or if you want solar now, consider our E2 Core or E2 Plus.

Charge when grid power is cheapest
Set up a schedule to automatically charge when energy costs less.
And from next year, homes in NSW, SE Queensland, and South Australia can schedule charging for three free hours of electricity each day via the Solar Sharer incentive — which you can fully leverage with a smart charger.

Smart charging FAQs
Yes, all Evnex chargers are compatible with the vast majority of EVs.
If you have an unusual make, or have an import requiring a Type 1 charging cable, reach out to our sales team (sales@evnex.com) and they'll discuss how we can best meet your needs.
You can choose to get your Evnex charger installed via us, or purchase the charger on its own and get your preferred electrician to install it.
Our base price for install starts from $901 (plus the cost of the charger). This price assumes you have a simple installation; as a rough guide, this usually means you're installing the charger within 1 metre of your switchboard, and it's on the ground floor of your home.
Install price will vary with added complexity. You can read more about what goes into installation pricing here, or get a quick, obligation-free quote online here.
A standard home EV charger, like ours, draws about 32 amps. To put this in perspective:
- Your washing machine uses about 10 amps
- An air conditioner might use 20 amps
- An induction cooktop can use up to 32 amps
This means if you’re using a lot of other electrical appliances — e.g. a heat pump, oven, lights, and dishwasher — then charging your EV on top of this could cause an overload.
When your charger is installed, it will be set up with overload protection: this allows the charger to monitor your home's power supply and adjust charging speed to prevent overloading your circuits and tripping the power.
All Evnex chargers come with overload protection, so you can keep your home or business safe while charging.
You can read more about home overloads and how to prevent them here.
Yes. The E2 Flex comes without solar smarts, but you can add this for a one-time fee of $399. The upgrade to solar is a software update, so there's no need for an electrician to return to your home and tinker with the charger again.
If you're planning on getting solar soon, we'd recommend purchasing an E2 Core or E2 Plus, as these come with solar smarts built in.
The E2 Flex doesn’t come with a cable hook, solar smarts, or Amber integration; and doesn’t function as a client within multi-charger management set-ups. The E2 Core does come with these features.
However, the E2 Flex can be upgraded to unlock solar smarts for a one-off fee of $399.
As a rough guide, our 7.4kW chargers (the E2 range and the X7) will get you up to 50km of range per hour of charging.
The X22 can get you up to 120km of range per hour of charging.
However, the charging speed of your vehicle depends on several factors including the model of your vehicle, its battery size, the electrical capacity of your home, and the type of charger you use.
For personalised recommendations and to find the best solution for your charging needs, please contact our sales team. They’ll be able to help you choose the optimal setup for your vehicle and home.
