SOLAR SHARER

EV charging that's on the house

3-hours of free power is coming for households in NSW, SA and southeast QLD. Is your EV ready to make the most of it?
WHAT IS SOLAR SHARER?

Free power, no solar panels required

Australia's grid receives more solar energy than it can use in the middle of the day. The Government's Solar Sharer Offer gives that surplus to eligible households as 3 hours of free electricity, every day.

That's up to 150km of free range a day. But only if your charger is fast enough to make the most of a 3-hour window.

WHY EVNEX FOR SOLAR SHARER

Make every free hour count

Three hours of free power. Don't waste it on a trickle.

An Evnex charger is 4× faster than a standard wall plug, adding up to 150km of range during your free window. A trickle charger manages around 35km in the same time.

Free power is great. A tripped switchboard, not so much.

Built-in overload protection means you can turn all your appliances on and charge your car without tripping your mains switch. Other chargers at this price point skip this feature completely. Not us.

Charging that schedules itself for your free window

Evnex identifies your free window and starts charging the moment it begins. All you need to do is plug in and put your feet up.

Evnex makes switching power plans easy

Solar Sharer plans often cost more outside the free window, so switching isn't right for every home. The Evnex app compares plans using your actual usage so you can see if you'll save before you switch.

Trusted by thousands of Aussie drivers

I couldn’t be happier with my decision to go with Evnex for my EV charger. Being an EV virgin, I was overwhelmed by the sheer volume of information on the ‘net. Evnex had clear plain English explanations as to how their charger would work for me, and that together with price, features, reviews, location made the decision for me.

GRAHAM BAMFORD

Had the most positive experience purchasing my new home charger from Evnex. Couldn’t be happier. Customer service has been amazing. Installers were absolutely brilliant. Would highly recommend.

Your Solar Sharer questions, answered

Do I need solar panels for Solar Sharer?

No. Solar Sharer draws on surplus power across the grid, so any household on a participating network gets the free window, panels or not.

Where is Solar Sharer available?

Households in NSW, South Australia and south-east Queensland from 1 July. Your electricity retailer confirms eligibility on your plan.

How much range can I add in three hours?

Our chargers are compatible with any solar system, home power supplies, and all electric vehicles across Australia.

Is it safe to charge while everything else is running?

Yes. Built-in home overload protection balances the load, so your switchboard won't trip with the car, dishwasher and aircon all going at once.

Will a Solar Sharer plan actually save me money?

It depends on your usage, and these plans can cost more outside the free window. The Evnex app compares plans on your real data so you can see before you switch.
