Tested to operate in -22°C to 55°C, our EV chargers are designed to handle whatever you throw at them.
Over-the-air updates means your EV charger investment is always getting better with every new feature we release.
Track and manage every kWh, every dollar, and every charge all from your phone.
Longer than most because we stand by our New Zealand engineering.

A standard home EV charger, like ours, draws about 32 amps. To put this in perspective:
This means if you’re using a lot of other electrical appliances — e.g. a heat pump, oven, lights, and dishwasher — then charging your EV on top of this could cause an overload.
When your charger is installed, it will be set up with overload protection: this allows the charger to monitor your home's power supply and adjust charging speed to prevent overloading your circuits and tripping the power.
All Evnex chargers come with overload protection, so you can keep your home or business safe while charging.
You can read more about home overloads and how to prevent them here.
The E2 Flex doesn’t come with a cable hook or solar smarts, and doesn’t function as a client within multi-charger management set-ups. The E2 Core does come with these features.
However, the E2 Flex can be upgraded to unlock solar smarts for a one-off fee of $349.
Yes. The E2 Flex comes without solar smarts, but you can add this for a one-time fee of $349. The upgrade to solar is a software update, so there's no need for an electrician to return to your home and tinker with the charger again.
If you're planning on getting solar soon, we'd recommend purchasing an E2 Core or E2 Plus, as these come with solar smarts built in.
Our E2 Core, E2 Plus, and X22 models include solar smarts. The E2 Flex is designed for grid-only homes but can be upgraded for solar later if needed.
Solar smarts enable our chargers to identify when unused locally generated energy is being exported to the grid, and instead use this to charge your EV — slowing the charge to match the exported solar.
If you wish to charge at full speed, but don't have enough available solar energy, you can override this with our “Charge Now’ feature — topping up the remainder from the grid.
The E2 Flex will pull power from the grid, plus solar if you have it — but doesn't have the solar smarts required to control solar charging like our other chargers do. You can unlock solar smarts on your E2 Flex for a one-time fee of $349.
Yes, we offer three-phase charging for houses with three-phase power — we recommend you chat to our expert team to determine if this is the right fit for you. Our three-phase chargers are available in tethered and universal socket options.
Evnex chargers are compatible with all electric vehicle makes and models (bar a very small number of older models). The type of plug your EV uses (Type 1 or Type 2) will determine the specific charger model you need.

The charging speed of your vehicle depends on several factors, including the model of your vehicle, its battery size, the electrical capacity of your home, and the type of charger you use. We offer two charger options to suit your needs: a single-phase 7.4kW charger and a three-phase 22kW charger.

As a rough guide, our 7.4kW chargers (the E2 range) will get you up to 50km of range per hour of charging.
The X22 can get you up to 120km of range per hour of charging.
